2024 Halifax St Patrick’s Parade

Maple, the First Taste of Spring

Since 1984, Kings Landing has welcomed guests in March to mark the coming of spring and partake in New Brunswick’s delicious maple history and tradition. Guests enjoy a 19th-century sugaring demonstration, delightful maple candy on the snow, fun horse and wagon rides, lovely scenery, visits to select historic homes, and more.

Encore Launch Show

Be prepared to be wowed by the new step-dancing group Encore at The Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre in Summerside on March 10 at 7 pm. Based out of Charlottetown, Bethany, Libby, Maddie, Maggie & Juliette grew up performing and dancing all across the Island and Maritimes. When discussing the possibility of Encore, the girls realized that shows with a primary focus on dance are lacking and underrepresented. Encore wants to show that the rich culture of step dancing is still very much alive, and they are excited to showcase their contemporary spin on the style. These girls bring the energy and the talent. The show will feature performances by Cameron Francis, Dominik Pineau, Megan Bergeron and Nick van Ouwerkerk.

Snow Bears Loppet

Cross-country skiing enthusiasts are invited to participate in the Snow Bears Loppet which will take place on March 10 in Bathurst. A Loppet is a large gathering of skiers who compete in classic style or freestyle (skate) skiing over different distances. The Loppet means different things to participants. For some it’s an event to push yourself, but for most it’s a fun way to spend the day outdoors, enjoying nature and stopping points along the way.
