Bonshaw Hills Provincial Park

The lovely Bonshaw Hills Provincial Park is open all winter long. There are over 18 km of trails that will take you along the Bonshaw River. Parts of the natural adventure playground are not available during the winter.

Go Skating at the Emera Oval
All Winter | Halifax, NS
The Emera Oval is an outdoor year-round facility located on the Halifax Common. In the winter, the Emera Oval transforms into the largest outdoor, artificially refrigerated ice surface East of Quebec City equivalent to the size of three NHL hockey rinks.
The Emera Oval will open in mid-December for the winter season. Please check the schedule for the opening date and scheduled closures due to weather or special events. Cancellations can happen at the last moment due to weather and ice conditions.
