Here are various Canadian product recalls for the week of March 29th to April 4th 2024. This week’s recalls has a variety of vehicles, food products, medical-related products and more. We also have some interesting reports outlining consumer’s frustrations with the way some recalls have been handled.

Kia Canada recalls over 18,000 SUVs over defect that could cause vehicles to move when parked

Kia Canada says its recalling more than 18,000 SUVs in the country due to a defect that could cause a potential safety risk. 

 

The recall says this may result in damage which in turn could cause a vehicle to move “when it’s parked and the parking brake isn’t applied,” posing a risk for injury or a collision. See More About This Recall >>>>

Various Toshiba-brand AC adapters recalled due to risk of fire and burn hazard

This recall involves the following model Toshiba-brand AC adapters that accompanied Toshiba-brand laptop computers (and were sold separately) that were imported by Toshiba Canada Limited and sold at various retailers in Canada between approximately April 1, 2008 and April 30, 2014. Beef Biltong recalled in Canada after testing finds Salmonella

Eat-Sum-More Inc. is recalling Beef Biltong from the marketplace because of possible Salmonella contamination.

According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), this recall was triggered by test results.

The recalled products were distributed in Ontario and Online in Canada.

Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the affected product poses an unreasonable risk of electric shock.
