Toby Bristow graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and an LLB. He articled with Cox Hanson O’Reilly Matheson in Fredericton, the predecessor of Cox & Palmer, before returning to St. John’s, Newfoundland, where he practiced personal injury law and co-founded Bristow Moyse Lawyers.

Over the course of his career, Toby has focused on advocating for injured individuals, representing clients at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada. He is particularly proud of his involvement in a landmark Newfoundland and Labrador Court of Appeal decision that established driver negligence in a moose-vehicle collision, securing compensation where none had previously been awarded.

Since joining CLG Injury Law in 2018, Toby has remained committed to treating clients with dignity, respect, and care while pursuing the highest level of compensation available. Outside of work, he volunteers extensively at a local homeless shelter, helping prepare hundreds of meals each day and gaining meaningful perspective on community needs.
