Mushkat Tells The Future – A Sci-Fi Folk Music Show

In the spirit of the 1960s future ilk (filk) movement, local recording artist Mushkat (Bill Travis) and friends (Leona Burkey, Mark Merriman, Theo MacIntosh and Chris Brown) have collected original and classic sci-fi folk songs about aliens, artificial intelligence, robots and outer space. Featuring music by David Bowie, The Flaming Lips, Neil Young, Danny Michel, Alan Parsons Project, The Byrds, Guided By Voices, The Dead Milkmen, Mushkat himself and so much more, this matinee event promises to be a lot of fun and full of surprises! Costumes and singing along are strongly encouraged, but just listening is wonderful, too. May the 4th be with you!
