Natural History Tour and Total Solar Eclipse Viewing
April 8, 2024 | North Cape, PEI
A full solar eclipse is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and western PEI will be in the path of totality. North Cape is not only an ideal spot to watch the eclipse, but also one of the most interesting natural areas on PEI. Join Kate MacQuarrie ahead of the main event for a snowshoe (or hike, depending on conditions) along the North Cape trail to learn about the unique ecology of the area; we’ll also identify wildlife tracks and sign if conditions allow. Bring a chair and dress for the weather so you’re comfortable as we watch the eclipse, beginning at 3:30 pm.
